- For making sai bhaji -- heat oil in a pressure cooker,add sliced Onion stir till light golden,add ginger and garlic,stir well,add tomatoes and Green chillies stir well,add turmeric powder,salt, soaked chana dal, spinach along with fenugreek leaves and dil leaves,add 1 cup of water, close the lid and cook for 3-4 whistles. let the pressure release by itself and then blend with hand blender until mushy.sai bhaji is ready..
- For making jaggery rice -- in a vessel heat ghee,add fennal seeds and green cardamom stir,add 1,1/2 or 2 cup of water, chopped almonds, coconut and jagerry,let it boil and then add rice stir well and cook for 8 -10 mins or until rice cooked completely..
Sai Bhaji is best served in dinner with fried potatoes,crispy and some salad. Best combination is with Green garlic rice or Bhugge chawar or Tairi. It is a must to make on Teejri.
